Description:

From its grand staircase to the historic, restored Senate, House and Court chambers, the Minnesota State Capitol is a site to behold.  Designed by Cass Gilbert, the building is considered an architectural masterpiece and holds a special place in Minnesota's history.

Experienxce the beauty of this exquisite building, as well as the excitement of the activities both within and outside its walls.

Highlights include:

  • Minnesota Senate, House & Supreme Court chambers
  • Civil War & Spanish-American War flags
  • Decorative & fine arts throughout the building
  • Memorial monuments on Capitol Mall
  • Free hourly guided tours - last tour starts 1 hour before closing
