Opening Times:

The History Center is open year round noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday.


Museum admission for members is free and rates for the general public are $5 for adults, $4 for students/seniors (62/better!) and $1 for children 12/under. Group rates are also available for five/more people at $3 per person.


The Beltrami County History Center, home of the Beltrami County Historical Society, is located in the historic southern corridor of downtown Bemidji in the restored 1912 Great Northern Depot. 

With an extensive collection of local manuscrips, maps, photographs, and artifacts, as well as three separate rotating exhibit galleries including the John G. Morrison, Jr. American Indian Collection exhibit, this museum is one of the region's most unique! 

Come learn about the fascinating culture and history of central northern Minnesota through exciting exhibits showcasing local artifacts, conduct your own family research in our research room, or check out our giftshop, featuring a variety of items sure to please any history buff.
