Description:
The Lawshe Memorial Museum opened in 1978 as the home for the Dakota County Historical Society (DCHS). It holds several thousand square feet of exhibit space, a comprehensive research library, and the main offices for DCHS. The museum hosts several community exhibitions and lectures annually. In addition, a series of permanent and changing exhibits are updated several times a year. Current offering include the St. Paul Union Stockyards. Strike!, The Dakota People, Stassen!, From the Front III: The Home Front, and Old Town.
